This trek allows you to enjoy of the beautifullness of the Sacred Valley, but also of seeing beautiful archaeological sites. The Inca canal, the Cachicata quarry ares just two of the places. You will get nice view to the Urubamba range along the way. After a charming trek, you will visit Machu Picchu the last day.

Day 1: Cusco / Huarocondo / Socma / Rayanniyoc

We will pick you up from your hotel and journey to the community of Huarocondo. We will visit the beautiful colonial church of the place. After a short visit, we will descend to Socma village, where we will start our trek at a point up to the archaeological site of Perolniyoc. Then, we will visit this beautiful place located above a waterfall. From there, we will enjoy our trekking up to the Rayanniyoc community. We will camp there.


Traveling time: Cusco – Huarocondo: 36.9 kilometers / 22 miles; 1 hour

Trekking distance: 10 kilometers / 6 miles (4-5 hours)

Altitudes: Cusco 3400 meters / 11,159 feet; Socma 3100 meters / 10170 feet; Rayanniyoc 3650 meters / 11975 feet

Meals: Lunch, dinner


Day 2: Rayanniyoc / Choquetacarpo

After a delicious and energetic breakfast, we will start trekking on the most challenging day of our adventure. We walk up to the first pass called Puccaqasa at 4,370 meters and arrive there after 3 hours approximately. We will see that local people cultivate the land along this way, and will see people caring for their fields. We will enjoy of the view offered at this point. After that, we will go down for another 30 minutes and enjoy of our lunch. After a great time, we will climb until we reac¬h the highest pass of the trek called Kuychicassa.
We will go down for around two hours more until we get our campsite at 3600 meters


Trekking distance: 13 kilometers / 8 miles (8-9 hours)
Altitudes: Puccaqasa 4370 meters / 14,337 feet; Kuychicassa 4450 meters / 14,599 feet
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner


Day 3: Choquetacarpo / Cachicata / Aguas calientes

We will go down all the day. First, we will stop at the Cachicata Quarry. Here, we will see the incomplete work because of the Spanish conquest. We will hear the interesting explanation of our guide about how the Incas cut and carry the huge stones used in the building of the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.
Along the way down to the Sacred Valley, we will pass by the Inca cemetery. Then, we will arrive to Ollantaytambo in order to board the train to Aguas Calientes. You will stay at a hotel


Trekking distance: 8 kilometers / 4 miles ( 3 hours)
Driving distance: Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu 34 miles / 55 km by train (2 hours)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch


Day 4: Machu Picchu - Cusco

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel to take one of the first shuttle buses up to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The ride is approximately 25 minutes. We will enjoy of our guided tour for around 2.5 hours. After that, we will have plenty of free time to walk around the Inca citadel

We will return to Cusco by train
