Training courses for Inca Trail porters
In our ongoing commitment to the remote high Andes community of Qelqanca, we assist villagers in their training courses for the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Government regulations in Peru require all porters and cooks who work on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to be certified by the Ministry of Culture, Cusco’s Regional Office for Foreign Trade and Tourism (DIRCETUR) and the National Service for State Protected Natural Areas (SERNANP).
In order to ensure that those tourists who travel to Peru and hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu receive the best trekking service, and to help conserve and protect the many ecosystems and archaeological sites that surround the Inca Trail, all Andean Adventures Peru personnel and staff are trained in quality of service, hygiene, equipment maintenance and first aid treatment.
