Andean Adventures Peru Commitment
As a company we also seek to reduce the use of plastic in our operations, implementing reusable materials, and training our staff in the importance of good eco-friendly practices and care for the environment.
Some of the measures we take to decrease the amount of waste produced during our trips are:
- The training of our staff to make purchases in the local market with cloth bags and thus reduce the use of plastic packaging.
- In our campsites, we offer water so that our travelers can fill their bottle throughout the day and thus not need to buy one-use bottles of water. Thus decreasing plastic waste.
- During the treks, we use eco-friendly detergents and soaps, without chemicals that damage the soil or water sources. Thus being able to responsibly dispose of our garbage water.
- We clean the campsites and recycle the garbage that we generate according to the current norms set by the government.
These are some of the practices we carry out within the camps, with which we reconfirm our commitment to caring for the environment, being allies of this rule to protect the Inca Trail network and the places where our operation reaches.
